A true test

November 11, 2008 | 11:59 AM

This week a very good, very old (in terms of longevity of friendship....he's three years younger than I am, so I certainly hope he isn't old!) came to see our show.  Now, he grew up on the same street, so he knew me when I was a geeky child (and would probably say that I've grown into a geeky adult, which is ok by me!).

So he knows my past...and knows that I was very shy and awkward as a kid....and there's something about having someone like that in the audience that made me a bit concerned that I would suddenly transform back into the plump 6th graders with thick eyeglasses....

There IS a Santa Claus!

November 05, 2008 | 9:46 PM

I am so deliriously happy about the outcome of yesterday's election...not just because Obama won (although that clearly is a huge part of it), but because both he and McCain made a real effort toward reconciliation and healing the country.  The whole night just felt like a breath of fresh air.

There seems to a new sense of hope...a new sense of pride in our country.  And I for one will be very happy to travel overseas and not sheepishly say "I didn't vote for him..."

On a more personal level, we should all take this new sense of hope and DO something with it! Use it to empower yourself and YOUR dreams.  This election was all about change, and the change needs to happen with each and everyone of us as much (or more) than it does at the national level.  Use that new, energized feelings to take steps -- even if they are baby steps -- toward YOUR dreams.

A successful media event1

October 29, 2008 | 8:30 PM

We had a terrific media event on Tuesday night, with a great turnout and lots of good reactions from the audience.  It's safe to say that all of the hard work, positive energy, and dedication from everyone in the cast has paid off!

We've come a long way in a short time since we opened our first show in July!  I am looking forward to seeing what coverage we get as a result.

Feedback, feedback, and more feedback

October 18, 2008 | 7:25 PM

Thanks to audience members who take the time to tell us what is working and what is not, we are able to keep improving the show, enhancing the entertainment value almost daily.  We're in the process of learning exactly what the Harmon Theater is capable of in terms of bells and whistles (literally, perhaps?), so we're looking forward to having new tricks to add to the show soon.

Aside from that, we're continuing to tweak our marketing...I'm looking for the one, great guerilla marketing idea that no one else in Vegas has thought of yet...I just know it's out there!
